David Morrison Blaikie
The memoirs of a
Nova Scotia
lumberman
1909-1976
Morris Blaikie lived all his life
in Upper Stewiacke, a small village in central Nova Scotia. He was
always known by his middle name rather than his first. Born July 28,
1909, he attended school there and spent his life in the family lumber
business. In 1942, he married Eva Gray of Londonderry Station, and they
had four children: Frances, David, Karla and Karen. He wrote these
memoirs in the early 1970s. Eva and Morris are buried in Riverside
Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke. |
