To David And Eddy

Here's to the boys of the Army

To the rank and the file like you

The boys of the sky had blazed the way

But the Army slugged it through

And here is a tear for the one who stayed

On the bank of the River Rhine

He is not alone, and he sleeps there well

With many of his kind.

All honor to those whose safe return

Brings joy to us here tonight

Though a tear lies near, we will give a cheer

For the boys who stood for the Right.
